Morelos has more research facilities and scientific institutes than any other mexican state, almost as much as the countrie's capital, Mexico City.
However, this doesn't mean that people in Morelos are more interested in science than people from other mexican states. Nor does it imply a higher level of average scientific education. It just means that the institutes ans scientific organizations like the state for establishing their research centers there.
Of course, most of the investigation is only for insiders, e.g., other scientists. The research institutes do not carry out much work in order to bring the results of their investigations to the general public.
But if you are interested in science, then you can find a wealth of institutes and research centers in the state of Morelos. Unfortunately, most of the institutes and research centers do not have an english language web site, but the staff frequently is familiar with the english language.
